El Cotillo, Fuerteventura, The Canaries

Welcome to Our Home Away. A little piece of paradise in El Cotillo, Fuerteventura, where the sun is always warm, the beaches inviting and the sea glows with Turquoise.

We first discovered Fuerteventura whilst on holiday from our London home in 2002 and fell in love with the laid back lifestyle of the island. We were drawn back to the island several times in that first year. It was then we decided to lay down some roots on this beautiful island. This is how our apartment in Fuerteventura came to be our home.

The seven islands of this archipelago - known as The Canary Islands - are situated in the Atlantic Ocean just to the west of North Africa. They are; Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro. Fuerteventura being the second largest of these islands and is only about 97km from the coast of Morocco. 

The island boasts a fabulous all year round climate with warm winters and temperate summers. Generally the annual temperature variation is relatively small, with average year round temperatures of 20 – 27 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is usually low and can be as little as 100mm a year. 

The spectacular white sandy beaches - that only this Island is famous for throughout the Canaries, is constantly being replenished daily, blown in from the Sahara Desert. The all year round warm climate. The peaceful way of life you see the locals enjoying. These are just but a few things that brings us back to Fuerteventura -  time and time again. We want you to enjoy your stay with us. Experience this wonderful Island as we do.
